original poem〈關渡向晚〉(幽默曲)
english translation by Jeats
Twilight Guandu (Humoresque)
Wild geese still wrote on an unfinished sonnet
On the cloud-colored sheet
riskly egrets missed one rime
From the hazy horizon
Pointing out epigrams
Evening breeze combed thousands of green hair
Tufted ducks raised their heads listening to
Reddening drum
With your back silhouette in the scenery was
The final signature
So much like
Wood boat hesitating toward the sunset of ferry and that year
Reeds silently facing toward big catkin willows
Thin silk red clouds knitted a butterfly at your hair hill
I, at spacious forehead of Ketagalan,
Sat and watched
Dogs and kitchen chimney smoke

original poem 〈給你的搖籃曲〉
english translation by Jeats
Your Lullaby
Let me took your hand
On that unnamed painting
From the draft on it was obliterated and changed repeatedly
It was a work of pointillism
The blank somewhere in that painting
You dipped and added a touch of color onto
Even if your horse-trotting lamp,
Those animals and fairies hedging on their speech
Beating around the bush
Still they finished telling all of
The bed time stories on earth
I would lie down by your side
Dancing with my full body to beckon
Your guardian angel
To keep revolving the earth for you
When thousand boats
Sailed through seven oceans till the end
I was the lazy bone of
Jellyfish floating
I would take you to cross over
The empty ultimate sea territory
Till we got stranded on
The soft sand shore of the end of the world
And if the waves crept in
I would soon turn into
Strong and stubborn
Armor blocks

〈豹與我〉
english translation by
Jeats
The Leopard and Me
Hibernating in the hollowness of Savanna
That leopard’s rugged vertebra slightly raised
Stars were grown with vines and leaves
Like the ripe grapes
Dews were about to slide down
The tour escort disappeared in the front
The commending aspiration sound conveyed impatience
Sickles flurried like the new moon
Reflecting the cold light, sweeping up
Little trail windy
But deep
Visitors came crawling forward on the trail
They couldn’t tell long grass from flying manes
Leopards’ spots slightly seen were like peeping pupils
The leopard remained his back facing the front
But to the next turn
He might perhaps stamp the foot to then become
A dragon-horse flying away
Or he just showed off bare teeth in front of your eyes
But I was just following the ribbon
Tagged on the forefathers
I fast walked forward like a wandering ghost
Like the wind rubbed the night, rubbing
The tranquil seemed being infinite
